This stone is located to the west of the Fortune Stone. From a distance, it looks like a mountain standing by the South China Sea, but up close, it is an upright boulder. It is square and solid, having stood for hundreds of millions of years. The saying “as solid as a rock” is said to refer to this very stone. The “Peace Stone,” also known as the “End of the World Stone,” stands firmly atop the South China Sea, enduring wind and waves. It remains as solid as ever, standing proudly under the blue sky and white clouds. Legend has it that it is the “Stone Ancestor” of the South China Sea, having been stationed here for hundreds of millions of years to guard the sea, praying for calm waters and the safety of all beings in all seasons. Every year, tourists from all over the world come to the “Peace Stone” to pray for peace.

Discount Policies

1. Students, seniors aged 60–69, people with disabilities (with valid ID), and children between 1.2–1.4 meters tall may purchase tickets at 50 RMB (peak season) or 45 RMB (off-peak season) for entry.

2. Active-duty military personnel, revolutionary disabled veterans, retired military personnel, seniors aged 70 and above (inclusive), children under 1.2 meters tall, and other individuals may enter free of charge according to national, provincial, and municipal regulations.

Tips

1. Generally, the peak season refers to the period from October 1 to April 30 each year, while the off-peak season refers to the period from May 1 to September 30 each year.

2. June 1 of each year is designated as the Free Entry Day at the scenic area. Visitors with valid local identification (household registration book or ID card) may enter free of charge.

Public Transport

Take bus routes 16, 24, or 25 and get off at the “Tianya Haijiao” stop.

The Tianya Haijiao Scenic Area is located 26 kilometers west along the coast from downtown Sanya, arriving at the foot of Maling Mountain, where the unique spectacle of “End of the World” is found. Climate and Best Travel Time: Sanya enjoys abundant sunshine and long summers without winter, often referred to as a natural greenhouse or green treasure basin. The climate is mild, with a typical tropical maritime climate. The annual average temperature is 25.5°C, the average seawater temperature is 25.1°C, and the lowest winter sea temperature is 22°C, making it suitable for year-round diving and various marine sports. Best Route for Visiting Tianya Haijiao: Enter through the main gate and walk straight to the Octagonal Square by the sea, then turn right along the shore to the battery car terminal, descend to the beach, and continue walking along the beach to reach the “Sea Judges the Southern Sky” and “Southern Sky Pillar.” Another 300 meters along the beach will take you to the “End of the World” and “Edge of the World” stones. On the way back, you can take the shaded path of “Tianya Road.”

Ticket Information:

Tianya Haijiao ticket: 65 RMB for individual visitors; group tickets (for tour groups or teachers and seniors aged 60–70 with valid IDs) are 60 RMB.

Discounted tickets are 35 RMB for elementary, middle, and high school students, as well as children between 1.2–1.4 meters tall. Children under 1.2 meters, seniors over 70, people with disabilities, active-duty military personnel not in groups, and journalists with valid IDs may enter for free.

Open daily from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Sightseeing battery cars within the scenic area cost 15 RMB for a round trip.
