Dragon King of the South Sea Courtyard: In order to explore the cultural significance of the belief in the Dragon King of the South Sea from the Taoist cultural system and to express the Dragon King’s purpose of benefiting all under heaven and bestowing blessings upon the people, the Dragon King of the South Sea Courtyard has been built within the Dadonghai Tourist Area. The courtyard is located in the heart of Aoshan Mountain and faces the South Sea.

The courtyard enshrines a 1.9-meter-tall original statue of the Dragon King of the South Sea, “with a crown atop his head adorned with dragon horns, red hair and long beard, thick eyebrows and wise eyes, ears that reach his shoulders, a tiger-like nose and vermilion lips, dragon whiskers extending sideways, appearing both benevolent and majestic. He wears a golden armor covered in dragon scales, a dragon-patterned cape over his shoulders, holds the Precious Sword that Calms the Sea, stands atop twin serpents, and sits majestically on the crest of ocean waves,” guarding the nation, subduing the maritime borders, harmonizing yin and yang, nourishing all things, and bringing rain to benefit the world.

Winter. During this time, Sanya enjoys a comfortable climate, making it an ideal destination to escape the cold. Without the summer heat or typhoon season, winter is the most suitable time to visit.

Take the tourist shuttle bus from Yalong Bay to the Dadonghai Scenic Area and get off at the 【Dadonghai Scenic Area】 stop.

Public Bus

Take Bus No. 25 and get off at the 【Dadonghai】 stop to arrive.
