As General Secretary Jiang Zemin wrote in his poem during his third visit to the End of the Earth on December 22, 2000: “Let winds and clouds rage as they may, I stand unmoved.” The highest pointed rock is inscribed with the Chinese characters for “Sea Corner,” echoing the characters for “End of the Earth” and together forming the complete concept of the End of the Earth. Behind the “Sea Corner” stone, among the surrounding rocks, there is a bunker. In October 1938, after the fall of Guangzhou, Nationalist General Wang Yi was appointed at a critical moment to serve as Commander of the Qiongya Garrison Command, overseeing the defense of Qiongya.

Discount Policies

1. Students, seniors aged 60–69, people with disabilities (with valid ID), and children between 1.2 m and 1.4 m tall can purchase tickets for 50 RMB during both peak and off-seasons.

2. Active-duty military personnel, revolutionary disabled veterans, retired military personnel, seniors aged 70 and above (inclusive), children under 1.2 m tall, and others may enter free of charge according to national, provincial, and municipal regulations.

Tips

1. Generally, the peak season refers to the period from October 1 to April 30 each year, while the off-season refers to the period from May 1 to September 30 each year.

2. June 1 of each year is designated as a Free Entry Day at the scenic area. Visitors with valid local ID (household registration book or ID card) can enter free of charge.
