Sanya Danjia Culture Exhibition Hall

On September 28, 2015, the Sanya Danjia Culture Exhibition Hall was officially opened in Xin Yu Cun, Nanbianhai, Tianya District, Sanya. With eight exhibition areas and thousands of exhibits, it showcases the spirit, customs, and cultural evolution of the Sanya Danjia people from various perspectives.

The Sanya Danjia Culture Exhibition Hall was jointly initiated for construction in September 2012 by the Yugang and Nanhai Neighborhood Committees in Tianya District, Sanya. The exhibition hall is divided into eight cultural sections: Hardships Through the Years, Production and Daily Life, Folk Costumes, and Salty Water Songs, featuring thousands of items such as fishing tools, fishing boat models, and fishermen’s clothing. The displayed relics and images not only highlight the essence of the traditional culture of the Danjia people but also reflect the trials of their history, demonstrating their fearless fighting spirit against nature and the waves. They embody the sweat, tears, and wisdom of the Danjia ancestors who worked the seas at Sanya Port.
