Zhong Fang, hailed as the "Prodigy of Yazhou," could compose poetry at the age of seven, passed the imperial examination for local scholars at ten, achieved the degree of juren (recommended man) at 25, and became a jinshi (presented scholar) at 32. He was selected into the Hanlin Academy and later served as Vice Minister of War in Nanjing and Vice Minister of Revenue. Zhong Fang possessed exceptional talent and extensive, profound knowledge, mastering books on law, history, medicine, divination, and more. The writings he produced were “vigorous, profound, and enlightened by reason.” He lectured at the Imperial College, where his teachings “moved all noble students.” Zhong Fang explicitly proposed the philosophical view that “knowledge and action should be unified—knowledge guides action, and action realizes knowledge.” He stands as a significant milestone in the cultural development of Hainan, truly “carrying forward the legacy of Wen Zhuang (Qiu Jun) and inspiring the integrity of Zhong Jie (Hai Rui),” bridging the past and future. Ticket Prices

1. Peak Season: 95 RMB for individual visitors, 50 RMB for discounted tickets.

2. Off-Peak Season: 80 RMB for individual visitors, 50 RMB for discounted tickets (including a 5 RMB government price adjustment fund).

Discount Policies

1. Students, seniors aged 60–69, people with disabilities (with valid ID), and children between 1.2–1.4 meters tall can purchase tickets for 50 RMB during both peak and off-peak seasons.

2. Active-duty military personnel, revolutionary disabled veterans, retired military personnel, seniors aged 70 and above (inclusive), and children under 1.2 meters tall can enter free of charge. Other individuals eligible for free entry follow relevant national, provincial, and municipal regulations.

Tips

1. Generally, the peak season refers to the period from October 1 to April 30 each year, while the off-peak season refers to the period from May 1 to September 30 each year.

2. June 1 of each year is designated as the scenic area’s Free Admission Day. Visitors with valid local identification (household registration book or ID card) can enter free of charge.
