Hainan Province Planning Exhibition Hall

The Hainan Province Planning Exhibition Hall is located in the west annex of the Exhibition Building, No. 9 Guoxing Avenue, Haikou City, Hainan Province, within the government office complex. It serves as an important window to promote the development of Hainan International Tourism Island, urban and rural planning, and ecological province initiatives to leaders at all levels and various sectors of society. It is also an ideal place to learn about Hainan’s past, present, and future.

The exhibition hall has two floors with a total display area of approximately 6,000 square meters, and was opened to the public in June 2010. The first floor features the lobby, History Footprints Hall, Ecological Resources Hall, Development Achievements Hall, and the Beautiful Hainan Experience Theater. It highlights Hainan’s historical evolution, urban development trajectory, unique tropical ecological resources, and the achievements of Hainan International Tourism Island development. The second floor houses the Provincial Comprehensive Planning Hall, Industrial Development and Ecological Protection Hall, Infrastructure and Public Services Hall, Urban-Rural Integration and Urbanization Hall, as well as the multimedia film "Planning Hainan" and sand table models, along with the 180-degree curved-screen cinema "Chinese Dream • Hainan Vision." These focus on the planning and construction of Hainan International Tourism Island and envision a bright future for Hainan.

The Hainan Province Planning Exhibition Hall is a Hainan Provincial Science Education Base and a Hainan Provincial Patriotic Education Demonstration Base. With its unique resources and strong educational value, it serves as a venue for provincial situation education, science education, and patriotic education for party and government agencies, institutions, schools, military units, enterprises, and community organizations across the province.
