Situated in the untouched forests of Dajupo Town, Haikou, the club is surrounded by lush natural woodlands that provide a peaceful retreat away from the noise of the outside world. The meandering Nanyang River enhances the landscape with its flowing waters. The course was masterfully designed by acclaimed Malaysian architect Mr. Tan CJ, who skillfully utilized the natural topography and preserved the original ecological landforms and vegetation. The design adheres closely to the philosophy of “following nature’s course,” transforming the space from the primeval forest into a golf course where the greens blend seamlessly with the natural environment. Through the design of the Nanyang River Course, the architect demonstrates that length alone does not define a challenging golf course. The deep roughs around the greens, expansive water hazards, and dense woods lining the fairways all serve as formidable tests of skill and endurance. The course features dramatic elevation changes and a layout full of surprises, inviting players to imagine and explore. With a wild yet commanding presence, it's the perfect place to challenge your limits and surpass yourself. The clubhouse complements the original ecological woodland course, built entirely from Russian larch in a log cabin style, covering a construction area of 3,800 m². Here, you can enjoy distinctive Hainan cuisine and culture. On special event days, you may also have the chance to enjoy performances of Li and Miao ethnic songs and dances, or even take part in traditional Li and Miao sports competitions. Strolling through the grounds offers a chance to relax, experience pastoral life, and achieve the serene state of “having long been confined in a cage, and at last returned to nature.” Total course length: 7,002 yards, Par: 72.
