Haikou Aviation Science and Technology Museum

The Haikou Aviation Science and Technology Museum is located on the west side of the third floor of Haikou Aviation Tourism City at Meilan Airport. It is a science and technology experience center centered around aviation technology, aviation culture, and aviation entertainment, integrating aviation popular science, real-scene experiences, and educational fun. It is mainly divided into two major sections: the aviation culture exhibition area and the aerospace culture exhibition area. The museum has a total of eleven exhibition halls, including the Origins of Flight, Sky of Gunsmoke, Soaring into the Clouds, Free to Fly, and Space Exploration, showcasing everything from the origin and development of aircraft to milestones in aerospace, displayed in each hall in sequence. The museum also features professional interactive flight simulators, motion-sensing games, large passenger aircraft escape devices, and a 360° dome theater, making aviation education more engaging and entertaining.

Among them, the flight simulators include simulated cockpits for the Cessna 172 and Boeing 737, where visitors can experience realistic piloting operations. In addition, the large passenger aircraft escape device includes a 1:1 replica of the nose section and part of the cabin space of a Boeing 747, complete with authentic seats and cabin facilities, aiming to allow participants to simulate emergency aircraft evacuations in a realistic and controlled environment. This helps them learn evacuation procedures intuitively and enhances memory retention through hands-on experience.
