Red Army Hall

Red Army Hall is a classic destination on China’s red tourism routes.

Originally named "Sanguan Hall," Red Army Hall is located by the Xiang River in the ancient town of Jieshou, about 23 kilometers north of the county seat. It served as the command post for the Red Army's crossing of the Xiang River and the Battle of Xiang River during the Long March. Senior Red Army leaders such as -, -, and Peng Dehuai directed the river crossing and battles from here. In 2006, it was designated as a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.
