Bailang Beach is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

Bailang Beach, also known as Dapingpo or Taipingpo, is located on the Jiangshan Peninsula in Fangchenggang City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and is an important part of the Jiangshan Peninsula Scenic Area. Recognized as the top coastal tourism destination in Fangchenggang, it is often hailed as the “Largest Beach in Southwest China” and the “Hawaii of China.”

Spanning 2.8 kilometers in width and 5.5 kilometers in length, the beach has a blackish tint due to its titanium content. The vast, spectacular shoreline lives up to its name as a “White Sand Bay,” with fine, uniform, and soft white sand. During high tide, the sea is tumultuous and dynamic—perfect for swimming or surfing, allowing visitors to fully embrace the ocean’s power. When the tide recedes, the beach becomes as flat as a pancake, offering vast open space for tens of thousands to engage in beach sports such as beach car racing, go-karting, beach soccer, and volleyball. Water activities like jet skiing, parasailing, and water skiing are also available. It has been honored with titles such as “China’s Most Beautiful Tourism and Leisure Destination” and “Top Ten Marine Tourism Destinations in China.”

Standing by the white rocks of Dapingpo, watching rows of waves stretching for thousands of meters roll in, stirs boundless inspiration and awe. Strolling along the beach, caressed by the sea breeze, fills you with endless comfort.

The blackish hue of Bailang Beach’s sand comes from its rich titanium content. Titanium, after acid hydrolysis and reaction with oxygen, forms titanium dioxide, which has strong sun-blocking and whitening effects. As a result, many visitors come to Bailang Beach specifically to dig a hole and bury themselves in the sand, allowing the acidic substances in their sweat to catalyze the reaction between titanium and oxygen—achieving the simplest and most direct form of natural skin whitening.

With the continuous development of the Jiangshan Peninsula Tourist Resort, the infrastructure of Bailang Beach is gradually improving. Hotels such as Wuhan Nanhua Garden Seaview Hotel and Jiangshan Seaview Hotel are set to open, while the construction of five-star hotels like Weibo·Kiston and Seaside World, a scenic tourism greenway, and a range of leisure and entertainment facilities are underway.

Bailang Beach is gaining increasing recognition, with more and more people choosing it as their preferred leisure and travel destination.
