Fangchenggang Moon Bay

Moon Bay is located at the foot of Niutou Mountain on the eastern side of Jiangshan Peninsula in Fangchenggang City, Guangxi Province. It is an important part of the Jiangshan Peninsula scenic area and is named for its crescent-shaped beach.

Moon Bay is nestled against the mountains and by the sea, facing Fangchenggang across the bay, about 1.5 kilometers away, with ferry services available. It consists of three semi-circular beaches with fine, smooth, golden sands. The waters are clear, and the bay is calm, earning it the nickname "the gentle maiden." Around Moon Bay, there are many scenic spots rich in beautiful legends and captivating views, such as "Emperor Ridge," "General's Cape," "Horse Saddle Mountain," "Fishing Platform," and "North Wind Knob."

The sea at Moon Bay is vast, with little wind and calm waves. Numerous semi-circular small beaches are strung together along the coastline in beautiful patterns, connecting the bays without separating them—truly a bay within a bay, and beach after beach. The golden sands are clean, fine, and soft, stretching for miles, making it a great spot for leisurely walks and seaside sightseeing.

Walking westward along the shore of Moon Bay, you can see lush forests and undulating green waves inland, while the sea meets the sky and the beach slopes outward just offshore. Occasionally, a few clusters of reefs lie across the front of the beach. These natural sights are truly captivating and unforgettable.
