Tongyu Academy

Tongyu Academy is a cultural heritage site protected at the district level of Qinnan District.

Tongyu Academy is located at No. 15 Tongyu Road, Xiaodong Town, Qinnan District, Qinzhou City. Dating back to the Qing Dynasty, it is classified as a cultural heritage building.

It was designated as a county-level cultural relics protection unit in April 1999.

Xiaodong Town: Located in the central part of Qinnan District, Xiaodong Town lies 28 kilometers south of downtown Qinzhou City and 82 kilometers north of Nanning, the regional capital. The town covers an area of 150.31 square kilometers, including an urban area of 5.1 square kilometers. It administers 16 village committees and 1 neighborhood committee, with a total population of 81,000, of which 28,000 live in the urban area. The town has 36,210 mu of arable land, 110,757 mu of forested land, and 44,812 mu of fruit orchards. Xiaodong Town boasts fertile land and abundant produce, with local agricultural and sideline products such as Matong and Xiaodong Sanhuang Chicken enjoying fame both within and beyond the region.
