Lushui River Drift is located in Pingshan Township, Long’an County, 90 kilometers from Nanning and just 5 kilometers from Longhu Mountain, making it very accessible. The drifting section of the Lushui River stretches 60.8 kilometers in total, with the highest drop in the rapids reaching 4.5 meters. The entire drifting experience takes about three hours. The riverbanks are lined with lush forests and bamboo groves, the water is crystal clear, and the river meanders through the landscape. There are both thrilling rapids and calm stretches of water, allowing you to enjoy the excitement of rafting while also taking in the beautiful scenery of the stream. The entire drift is divided into two sections. The first part has faster-moving water, and as you float downstream, you can feel as if you’re passing through countless mountains. After one-third of the journey, there is a dam in the middle where you’ll need to carry your inflatable raft across. This is also a good spot to take a break. Local villagers sell corn, water, and free-range eggs at the dam, so it’s a good idea to bring some cash with you to replenish your energy. Of course, if you forget to bring money, you can also trade your own snacks for their food—they’re open to bartering in a traditional way.

Pingshan Township: Pingshan Township is a former revolutionary base area, situated on a major transportation route in Southwest China. It is located in the southern part of Long’an County, and the famous provincial-level Longhu Mountain Scenic Area lies within its borders. The township is just 100 kilometers from Nanning, the capital of Guangxi. The township government is located at the junction of Long’an and Daxin counties. National Highway 316 (the second-class road from Natong to Daxin) runs through the entire township, which enjoys abundant water and electricity resources and very convenient transportation.
