The former residence of Huang Xuchu is a cultural relic protection unit of Nanning City.

The former residence of Huang Xuchu is located at No. 53 Mingde Street, Qingxiu District. It dates back to the Republican era and is categorized as an important modern historical site and representative architecture.

In 2002, the former residence of Huang Xuchu was designated as a cultural relic protection unit of Nanning City.

Huang Xuchu (1892–1975), from Rong County. He studied with his father in his early years, later attended Rong County's Simple Teachers' School and Cangwu Changzhou Silkworm Industry School. After the outbreak of the 1911 Revolution, he joined the revolutionary army. In 1912, he was admitted to the Guangxi Military Speed School, where he was a classmate of Li Zongren. In 1913, he also passed the entrance exam for the Chinese Army University and graduated in 1916, after which he served as Chief of Staff to Governor Tan Haoming. Due to his outstanding management and training abilities, in 1917, he was appointed as a company commander in the Guangxi Model Battalion and participated in the Constitutional Protection War, soon becoming a battalion adjutant.
