Kimura Village, located in Tongxin Village, Jiangxi Town, is about 27 kilometers from the city center and has a history of over 600 years since its establishment. The area around each household in Kimura is shaded by ancient towering trees, with various species of trees densely interwoven. It features a centuries-old ancient stage, and the village buildings are constructed on natural stone slabs, with every residence and village lane paved with stones. In ancient times, due to inconvenient transportation and the poverty of its residents, villagers pooled money to build gates and walls to defend against bandits and intruders from other villages. However, in 1942, the watchtowers still could not stop the Japanese invaders' frenzied looting and killings. After liberation, although the villagers continued their martial arts tradition, with the improvement of living standards, the pursuit of prosperity and civilization became the goal of the villagers. Kimura has now become a key model village for promoting civility in Jiangnan District.
