Ancient Town of Lüwei

Introduction Lüwei Town is located in the central-southern part of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, 67.5 kilometers from Nanning City. Situated in the county seat of Binyang, it is one of the Four Great Ancient Towns of Guangxi and serves as the political, economic, cultural, and educational center of Binyang County. The town covers an area of 188.04 square kilometers, including 73,446 mu of paddy fields and 31,393 mu of dry land. It has a total of 42,054 households and a population of 190,245, including 83,000 urban residents and 107,250 rural residents. The town administers 28 village committees, 16 communities, 212 natural villages, and 36 directly affiliated government units. There are 95 town-level officials, 30 village officials, and 220 officially subsidized village cadres. The town has 8 middle schools, 93 primary schools, and 1,316 teaching staff.
