The resort is situated in Xinqiao Town, Binyang County, about 5 kilometers from the county seat of Binyang, 78 kilometers from Nanning, the capital of Guangxi Autonomous Region, 33 kilometers from Litang Town—an industrial hub and railway junction in Binyang—and just 25 kilometers from the nearest exit of the Guihai Expressway. The Nannan-Wuzhou Second-Class Highway even runs right past the resort. The resort lies directly on the “Wang”-shaped main tourism route of the “Three Zones, Two Belts, One Main Line” tourism development layout in Guangxi, which connects Guilin–Nanning–Beihai. Its superior geographical location, convenient transportation, and prominent regional advantages provide highly favorable conditions for its development and construction.

The Qingping Reservoir within the resort is a medium-sized reservoir built in 1959 primarily for irrigation purposes. It has a total storage capacity of 97.1 million cubic meters and an effective storage capacity of 62.07 million cubic meters. At its normal water level of 143 meters above sea level, the reservoir covers a water area of 725.1 hectares. The lake surface shimmers with ripples, dotted with lush green islands and numerous inlets and bays, including a total of 18 islands (and peninsulas). The shoreline is winding and varied, with bamboo and trees competing in beauty. The open and secluded waters are crisscrossed with scenic paths, surrounded by overlapping hills that create a naturally delightful landscape. The islands are mostly covered with well-grown Masson pine forests, interspersed with some natural bamboo groves and broadleaf trees and shrubs.

Thanks to the dense forests within the resort and the presence of the lake, the air here is fresh, with a negative ion concentration exceeding 1,000 ions per cubic meter. Located south of the Tropic of Cancer and influenced by warm, moist maritime air currents, the area enjoys long summers and short winters, with an average annual temperature of 20.8°C. Once developed, this will become a rare tourist, leisure, vacation, and summer retreat destination for Nanning and its surrounding regions.
