Martyrs' Cemetery of Nong Huixing

The Martyrs' Cemetery of Nong Huixing is a cultural tourism attraction and a classic red tourism site.

The Martyrs' Cemetery of Nong Huixing is located at the foot of Changfeng Mountain, about 20 kilometers south of Pingxiang City, within the "Martyrs' Cemetery for the Counterattack in Self-Defense Against Vietnam."

The tombstone is approximately 1 meter high and 0.6 meters wide. The entire cemetery is built of cement, making it solid, solemn, and dignified. It is surrounded by the continuous mountains of the motherland, and just a few kilometers to the south lies the world-renowned Friendship Pass.

Nong Huixing (1957–1979), of the Zhuang ethnic group, was from Neishi Village, Kangtan Township, Lanxu County. He was a member of the Communist Party of China. In 1977, he joined the People's Liberation Army of China and was assigned to the 53562 Unit as a squad leader. In February 1979, he died a glorious death in the Counterattack in Self-Defense Against Vietnam and was posthumously awarded the title of "Combat Hero."

After graduating from the attached middle school of his production brigade, Nong Huixing returned to his hometown to work in agriculture. He was hardworking and joined the Communist Youth League of China. Later, he served as a squad leader and warehouse keeper on water conservancy construction sites, becoming an advanced figure in water conservancy projects.
