Taiwan has made the list again！A British travel website recently released its 2015 ranking of the world’s top 10 emerging travel destinations, with Taipei securing the 4th spot thanks to its "great food and fun" appeal. From Beitou Hot Springs and Shilin night market delicacies to beef noodles and Wufenpu shopping, all have been highlighted by international websites as must-visit spots for foreign tourists.

When it’s cold, head to Beitou for a soak in the hot springs, then stroll over to Shilin Night Market for a hearty feast. With so many delicious and enjoyable activities, Taipei has claimed the 4th spot on the list of top 10 emerging travel destinations. Many netizens agree that Taipei’s inclusion is well-deserved, but beyond the hot springs and night market eats, there are plenty more must-see spots—like Yangmingshan National Park. On a clear day, not only are the views breathtaking, but you can also escape the urban noise. Just a 40-minute drive from Taipei Main Station, it’s a place many travelers insist on “paying homage” to.

And the wildly popular National Palace Museum is internationally renowned for housing countless priceless treasures. Take, for example, the Jadeite Cabbage—it even became a hit in Japan, where visitors often have to wait in line for up to three hours just for a glimpse. Countless tourists make the trip to the National Palace Museum in Taiwan specifically to see it. The Tourism Bureau says Taiwan’s inclusion among the top 10 emerging destinations reflects a significant boost in the country’s global image. Just looking at tourist numbers...From January to October this year, compared to the same period in 2013, there was a substantial increase of 24.97%, reaching 8.09 million visitors.
