Meijia Mountain Villa is located in Fengxuan Village, nestled between the Leye Dashiwei Tiankeng, Chuandong Tiankeng, and Liuxing Tiankeng. It is just one mile away from the Chuandong Tiankeng, surrounded by secondary primeval forests, with beautiful scenery and a pleasant climate. Here, you can admire cherry blossoms in spring and icicles in winter, among other stunning sights.

Even more appealing than the beautiful environment is the traditional extended family culture that the Meijia family continues to uphold. The male head of the household, Mei Shipin, has nine sons and two daughters. The daughters have married out, but all the sons, grandchildren, and the elderly couple live together. Now, the family has grown to 56 members, who adhere to the principle of “big fairness, little quarrel,” and have not divided the household to this day.

A must-have at any farmhouse stay is home-style cuisine — so how do they manage such large “family meals”? Mei Qiubi, who serves as the “logistics manager” for the villa’s farm dining, says, “Whether my cooking tastes good is first decided by the family members. If a dish is deemed unappetizing by the majority, it’s either removed from the menu or modified. With over 50 people taste-testing dishes regularly, the flavors we refine usually suit the palates of many guests.” Mei Qiubi says this with a smile.
