China News Service, Guangxi, April 9 (Wu Guiqun) The People's Government of Leye County, Guangxi, announced that the 5th China•Baise Leye International Mountain Outdoor Sports Challenge and the 20th Asian Climbing Championship will be held from April 25 to 28 in Leye County, Baise City, Guangxi. The event will see participation from 20 top international teams from countries and regions including Sweden, the United Kingdom, the United States, Russia, New Zealand, Finland, Australia, Germany, France, as well as Singapore and Hong Kong, China, while over 100 elite climbers from across Asia will compete in the Asian Climbing Championship.

　　The International Mountain Outdoor Sports Challenge will feature events such as cross-country running, mountain biking, bike-run combined races, rock wall rappelling, canoeing, rafting, orienteering, and mountain skills. To increase the difficulty, many sections of the course involve rugged mountain paths rarely traveled by humans, with steep slopes of 50–60 degrees where only narrow trails lead to valleys—walking on foot is tough enough, let alone cycling, making these truly “devilish” stages.

　　The Asian Climbing Championship is an artificial wall competition, comprising four major events and seven sub-events, including men’s and women’s difficulty climbing, speed climbing, bouldering, and mixed speed relay. Athletes will represent the highest level of development and peak competitive form of climbing in their respective countries or regions, showcasing stunning “rock wall ballet” at the Leye Climbing Plaza.

　　The event is approved by the General Administration of Sport of China and is jointly organized by the Mountaineering Sports Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of China, the People's Government of Baise City, the Sports Bureau of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and the Tourism Bureau of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
