Chashan Lake Reservoir

The picturesque landscape of Chashan Lake is located four kilometers north of Mengshan County and is a newly developed tourist area in Mengshan. Built along the Chashan River, the Chashan Reservoir stretches fourteen kilometers and serves as a comprehensive alpine lake used for farmland irrigation, power generation, and tourism. On both sides of the grand dam at the Chashan entrance, mountain peaks resembling majestic lions stand facing each other from afar. Since ancient times, this scenery has been known as the “Twin Lions Guarding the Pass.”

Boating on the lake, you’ll be surrounded by oddly shaped peaks on both banks, with reflections of green mountains and the sounds of birds and flowers, as if you’re traveling within a painting. As the waterway winds through the mountains, you can admire the Stone Figure Mountain, which resembles an ancient woman with a dignified expression and lifelike features, as well as other scenic spots such as “White Horse Drinking from the Spring,” “Golden Rooster Crowing at the Shore,” and “Stone Drum Floating with Stars,” all adding endless charm to the experience.
