Mengshan Shiyan Mountain is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Shiyan Mountain is located to the south of Chentang Street. The mountain is covered with dense forests and boasts fresh air. It has long been a popular destination for students on autumn outings and local residents for hiking and sightseeing. It is also the foremost resource that the people of Chentang take pride in and use to introduce their hometown to outsiders. In the eyes of locals, Shiyan Mountain is revered as a sacred mountain. Legend has it that the mountain was formed from the petrification of a fairy and is associated with a widely told mythical story. At the summit of Yanshan, there are several strikingly shaped rocks that rise abruptly from the ground, one of which closely resembles a swallow—hence the name "Shiyan Mountain" (Swallow Mountain). From the mountaintop, looking north, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Chentang Town, along with the emerald waters of the Meijiang River. The bustling town, peaceful villages, and the lush green mountains and waters create a vibrant and lively scene. It takes about 20 minutes to hike up the mountain from the north side, where you can take in the full view of Chentang Town. It is a great spot for nearby residents to exercise and relax. The ecological environment of Shiyan is excellent, and its scenery is unique. Literary figures who have visited the mountain have left behind poetic verses in its praise, such as "The scenery of Yanshan is truly splendid, with the green waters of Meijiang flowing beneath the cliffs" and "A coiling dragon on the eastern ridge startles the bright moon, while stone swallows on the southern hill dance in the new sky."
