The Changping Shuiyun Yao Village Scenic Area is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

The "Shuiyun Yao Village" in Changping, Mengshan, is located in Wuzhou City, an outstanding tourism city in China and the hometown of the Dragon Mother. It is a 5-star rural tourism area in Guangxi and a national AAAA-level scenic spot. Situated in Changping Village, Changping Yao Ethnic Township, Mengshan County, the area enjoys convenient overall transportation and lies at the junction of four cities: Wuzhou, Guilin, Liuzhou, and Hezhou. It is 17 kilometers from the county seat, 152 kilometers from Guilin, 175 kilometers from Liuzhou, 180 kilometers from Wuzhou, and 170 kilometers from Hezhou.

The scenic area has a planned total area of approximately 35 square kilometers. Within the area, there are attractions such as a wind and rain bridge, the Sanmei Banyan Tree, the Longevity Palm, a naturally-formed heart-shaped island in Swan Lake, and an artificial breeding farm for Chinese giant salamanders. The "Shuiyun Yao Village" rural tourism area draws on the rich and colorful Yao ethnic culture of Changping Village. Surrounded by mountains and water, the Yao village is enveloped by nature’s ecological environment, adding to its mystique. The village's environmental renovation highlights the Yao people’s strong cultural characteristics, with historical figures such as Liu Sanmei—whose presence gives the Yao village culture a distinct local flavor. Additionally, the Yao village is a natural oxygen bar, with a vegetation coverage rate of 96%, and also features undeveloped virgin forests, making it highly suitable for exploration and outdoor activities. A stream runs through the entire Yao village. Swan Lake covers an area of over 5,000 square meters, with clear waters that are perfect for fishing.

The scenic area offers comprehensive tourism facilities including food, lodging, transportation, sightseeing, entertainment, shopping, and amusement. Activities include fishing in Swan Lake, lakeside barbecue areas, forest exploration, and outdoor camping. There is also a cluster of eco-friendly wooden cabins on the mountainside. The Swan Lake Grand Hotel, equipped with complete facilities and featuring Yao-style accommodations, offers standard double rooms for rural tourism. The Yao village has parking for over 800 vehicles, more than 80 guest rooms, and three or four farmhouse restaurants operated by local Yao villagers. It is a Yao ethnic cultural tourism area integrating Yao culture experiences, leisure vacations, travel shopping, local cuisine, and cultural entertainment.

The Yao village boasts a rich historical and cultural heritage with deep historical roots. The villagers are warm and hospitable, with simple and honest folk customs. Additionally, Changping Yao Village is recognized as a longevity village in China, a health preservation base for middle-aged and elderly people in China, and a regional-level "Forest City."
