The Liberation Monument in Liuzhou is located within Liuhou Park in Liuzhou City, Guangxi. Originally named the "Monument to the Fallen Soldiers of the Seventh National Revolutionary Army," it was built in August 1932. The monument stands 13.1 meters tall. The original base featured inscriptions by Li Zongren and Bai Chongxi, while the body of the monument bore an inscription by Huang Shouxu: “Sacrificed for the nation, their spirit soared above mountains and rivers; for all eternity, they stand as majestic,” commemorating the soldiers of the Seventh Army who fell during the Northern Expedition.

On November 25, 1949, nearly two months after the founding of the People’s Republic of China, Liuzhou was liberated. The newly established Liuzhou Municipal People’s Government called on all citizens to “develop production and prosper the economy,” sparking a wave of enthusiasm for building and developing Liuzhou. On November 25, 1950—exactly one year after the liberation of Liuzhou—the Communist Party Committee and the People’s Government of Liuzhou City renamed and repurposed the former Monument to the Fallen Soldiers of the Seventh National Revolutionary Army as the “Liberation Monument in Liuzhou.”

The Liberation Monument in Liuzhou is an important historical and cultural landmark within Liuhou Park. It is listed as a key cultural relic under protection in the park and was designated as a Liuzhou Patriotic Education Base by the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal People’s Government in July 1995. The site now features a garden style that blends Chinese and Western elements.
