The core scenic area of the Liuzhou Exotic Stone Expo Park — the Liuzhou Exotic Stone Museum. As the centerpiece of the Malushan Exotic Stone Expo Park, the museum consists of an exotic stone exhibition area, a cultural display area, a leisure area, a visitor service center, and a multifunctional hall. It is currently the largest specialized exotic stone museum in China and is acclaimed as the “Dream Museum of Exotic Stones.” Former President Jiang Zemin, during his visit to the museum, repeatedly praised it as “exquisitely unparalleled and unique in the world,” and inscribed the words “Jade-like stones in the picturesque Dragon City.”

Located in the southeast area of the expo park, the Liuzhou Exotic Stone Museum covers an area of 6,865.14 m² with a total construction area of 12,392.8 m². It is a streamlined building designed in the shape of an exotic stone, grand and simple in style, with a total investment of 173 million yuan. Construction began in November 2009, and the museum officially opened to the public on October 28, 2011, after the complete relocation of the former “Bagui Exotic Stone Museum.”

The museum has three floors of exhibition halls divided into more than ten exhibition areas. The first floor focuses on exotic stones from Liuzhou, with the Hongshui River as the main thread, showcasing a variety of locally produced exquisite stones. The second floor features representative exotic stones from across China as well as from Japan, South Korea, Europe, America, and other regions and countries, blending inclusively both visual appeal and cultural richness. The third floor primarily displays miniature stones, mineral crystals, and fossils. All collections are regarded as oriental pearls and rare treasures.
