Rong’an County is rich in water resources, with a network of rivers crisscrossing the area and offering clear, tranquil waters. Lining both riverbanks are dense stands of artemisia and bamboo, creating a natural green barrier. The beautiful Rongjiang River is celebrated by experts for its distinctive features—“flat, straight, wide, gentle, clear, and serene.” Notably, after the Fushi Hydropower Station, located 12 kilometers from the county town, was closed off in March 2000, the waters from the station upstream to the Siwei River stretched over a 25-kilometer expanse, forming a vast, calm, and expansive lake. This area provides an exceptional setting for water-based recreational activities and is a unique attraction in the Liuzhou region. An annual dragon boat race featuring hundreds of boats is held here.
