Hongcha Valley Forest Park is located three kilometers west of Rong’an County town (approximately 120 kilometers from Liuzhou City), covering an area of 17 square kilometers with 22,000 mu of pristine secondary forest and planted woodland. In spring, the park bursts into a riot of flowers; in summer, clouds drift halfway up the mountains; in autumn, the hills are ablaze with red foliage; and in winter, snow blankets the mountaintops. Hongcha Valley Forest Park is currently the closest and most accessible high-altitude pristine forest park to a major city in Guangxi, with a total scenic area of 17 square kilometers. The main peak stands at an elevation of 1,000 meters. The park boasts continuous mountain ranges, canopies of trees that block out the sun, ancient towering trees, creeping vines, murmuring streams, abundant vegetation, birdsong and floral fragrance, fresh air, as well as rare plants and animals under national first and second class protection. It is a naturally elegant environment ideal for vacationing, sightseeing, research, and exploration.

A half-hour drive from the county town takes you into Rong’an’s Hongcha Valley to experience the fresh, simple, and natural valley scenery and pleasant climate of this autonomous region-level (nominally applying for national status) forest park. Get close to nature in the raw. Enjoy a camping dinner in Hongcha Valley, spend the night in a forest cabin, and listen to the babbling brook and the chirping of birds and cicadas. The next morning after breakfast, follow the stream downstream for a journey of the most primitive and rustic adventure. Arrive at Shihakou and take a boat ride along the beautiful Rong River.
