Tomb of Li Daoqing

The Tomb of Li Daoqing is a cultural tourism attraction.

The Tomb of Li Daoqing is located about 100 meters southeast of ShanYan Village in Jietang, Gongqiao Township, on an earthen mound at the foot of the eastern slope of Longfeng Mountain. Li was from Yangshan, Guangdong. In the third year of the Wanli reign during the Ming Dynasty (1575), he was appointed as a Qianfuzhang (military officer) by imperial decree forwarded through the Pingle Prefecture to the Ministry of War. He responded to the call to suppress the uprising led by Li Tianlong in the Wuzhi Mountains. After five years of quelling the “barbarian” rebellion, he was rewarded and later settled in Tang, Wuzhi Mountains, where he lived until his death and was buried there. The tomb is 7 meters long, 7.6 meters wide, with a mound 1.1 meters high, and features two stone tablets, one in the front and one in the back.
