Fulipark

Fulipark is located at Fulipiazza at the northern end of Chaozhou Avenue, backed by the Dragon Vein of Dadan, flanked on the left by Elephant Mountain as its guardian and on the right embraced by Lion Screen. It is surrounded by green waters in the middle, with Sangpu Mountain’s Dajian Peak stretching out before it and the layered peaks of the South China Sea visible in the distance. Encircled by three mountains and one body of water, the park gathers spiritual energy from all directions and concentrates the essence from every corner.

Covering an area of over 500 acres, what makes this enchanting place so captivating? One may discover its charm by exploring its many scenic spots. As visitors step through the vermilion park gate, they arrive directly at the foot of Guanyin Mountain. Crossing the grassy field and ascending the steps leads to the Lucky Steps of Guanyin Mountain, the perfect spot for tourists to "welcome good fortune" while climbing higher.

On the platform of the grand staircase stands a 6.8-meter-tall, 8-ton white marble statue of the Thousand-Armed Guanyin, carved from a single block of stone. It is a rare white marble Guanyin sculpture in China and can be regarded as a treasure of Chinese carving art. To the east of the Thousand-Armed Guanyin stands another major attraction: a large-scale group sculpture of the Five Hundred Arhats. Nestled within a forest of horsetail pines halfway up the mountain, fifty life-sized, vividly carved stone arhats are spread across the hillside—some crouching, some standing, some looking up, some deep in thought, some with foreheads raised, in motion or still, interacting with one another.

Some converse, expressing a range of emotions—joy, anger, sorrow, and delight—with distinct expressions and varied moods. Traditional arhat sculptures are usually displayed in temples, but these five hundred stone arhats are returned to nature, accompanied by green mountains and clear waters. Myth and everyday scenery blend here, offering a unique charm.

Another highlight is the group sculpture of the Twelve Zodiac Immortals in white marble. Each of the twelve celestial beings, standing 16 meters tall, is exquisitely beautiful and charming. The Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit... each zodiac sign is nestled beside an immortal, creating an intimate and delightful scene that blends the human world with paradise. Fulipark’s “New Century Orchid Garden” is one of the largest orchid appreciation sites in eastern Guangdong, where tens of thousands of orchid pots allow you to experience the feeling that “living amidst orchids, one gradually becomes oblivious to their fragrance.” In the “Exotic Stone Garden,” you can admire the magnificence of precious Taihu rocks, some as tall as 8 meters and weighing over 10 tons. The “Potted Plant Garden” houses nearly a thousand exquisite potted plants in various forms, making you feel as if you are reading a series of condensed poems. “Fishing at Fulipu Lake” offers the leisurely joy of “stealing a half-day of freedom from a busy life,” while the “Koi Pond” dazzles with thousands of colorful koi fish shimmering like gold and jade.
