The Shanglin Revolutionary Martyrs' Monument is a cultural relic protection unit of Guangning County and a classic red tourism attraction.

The Shanglin Revolutionary Martyrs' Monument is located in Shanglin Village, Kengkou Town, Guangning County, Zhaoqing City, Guangdong Province. Originally built in 1961, the original monument was demolished in 2000 and rebuilt at its current site. It faces west from the east and covers an area of approximately 40 square meters. The monument is square-shaped, constructed of cement, covered with ceramic tiles, and topped with a torch sculpture. Its total height is 8 meters. The square base of the monument is divided into two levels, inlaid with black marble inscribed with the names of the martyrs, edged with white ceramic tiles and a crimson tiled foundation. A cement railing surrounds the structure, and the front of the monument bears the words “Revolutionary Martyrs' Monument” in golden running script.

The Shanglin Revolutionary Martyrs' Monument commemorates the revolutionary martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the Shanglin area (now Kengkou Town) from the period of the Great Revolution to the Liberation War. It holds significant historical educational and revolutionary commemorative value. In 2004, it was designated as a cultural relic protection unit of Guangning County.

Shanglin Village: Shanglin Village is located in the northwest of Guangning County, along the upper-middle reaches of the Gushui River. It is the most representative and largest revolutionary base village in Zhaoqing City, currently governed by three village officials. The village is 11 kilometers from the town center and 32 kilometers from the county seat. It spans a total area of 10 square kilometers, comprising 9 villager groups, with a total population of 992 and 226 households. The village has 11,000 mu of forested land and 300 mu of paddy fields, and houses one complete primary school.
