The former residence of Peng Pai in Leiping Village is a cultural heritage site protected by Guangning County and a classic destination for red tourism.

The former residence of Peng Pai in Leiping Village is located in Shegang Village, Tanbu Town, Guangning County, Zhaoqing City, Guangdong Province. Built in the late Qing Dynasty and early Republican period, it faces north and has a southern orientation. The structure features three bays and two side corridors, constructed with brick and wood. It spans a total width of 10.39 meters, a depth of 9.74 meters, and covers a built-up area of 101 square meters. Peng Pai (1896–1929), from Haifeng, Guangdong, was an outstanding leader of China’s peasant movement. In 1924, Peng Pai came to Guangning to lead the peasant movement. In December of the same year, the Guangning County Peasant Association, the provisional command of the Peasant Army, and part of the peasant forces were stationed in Shegang Township. The former residence served as both Peng Pai’s workplace and residence during his time in Shegang, as well as the headquarters of the Ironclad Squad, until he left in February 1925.

The former residence of Peng Pai in Leiping Village documents his leadership in the Guangning peasant movement and his direction of armed peasant struggles, holding significant historical, cultural, and revolutionary commemorative value. It was designated as a cultural heritage site protected by Guangning County in 1989.

During the Republican era, it was known successively as Jingping Township, Jingle Township, and Tanbu Township. In the early years after the founding of the People’s Republic of China, it belonged to Tanbu Township in the First District. In 1958, it merged with Pisha and Shijian to form the Chunsui Commune. In 1959, Tanbu Commune was established separately, became a district in 1983, and was upgraded to a town in 1987. The town government is located in Tanbu Market, 26 kilometers from the county seat.
