Located at the foot of Nanxiangbi Mountain in Chenkong Village, Nan’an Town, it gets its name from the mountain’s striking resemblance to an elephant’s trunk, boasting pleasant natural scenery. By the end of 1993, the Gaoyao TV Transmission Center had been built atop Xiangshan. The scenic area features towering ancient trees, dense forests, and a rich variety of vegetation landscapes. — Amidst the vastness, it is mainly covered by pristine secondary forests, with a forest coverage rate of over 91%. The mountain boasts lush and diverse forests with a wide range of plant species, making it an ideal destination for sightseeing, vacationing, and enjoying the beauty of nature. Xiangshan is the highest point in Gaoyao City, offering panoramic views of the urban area and both banks of the Xijiang River from its summit — it’s also a perfect spot to watch the sunrise.
