On September 28, PowerVision officially launched its professional-grade aerial photography drone, the PowerEye Golden Eye, in Beijing. This is the company’s second drone product of 2016, following the PowerEgg. Unlike the PowerEgg, which is aimed at entry-level users, the PowerEye boasts professional-grade aerial imaging capabilities, targeting photography enthusiasts, drone hobbyists, and professional aerial photography studios with higher demands. PowerVision founder and CEO Zheng Weifeng announced at the launch event that the recommended retail price for the PowerEye in mainland China is 24,988 yuan.
PowerEye Golden Eye: A flying camera designed for professional users and photographers
In terms of appearance, the PowerEye features an all-black body with a powerful look; in terms of design, it continues the portable and user-friendly product DNA and design philosophy of the PowerEgg. The total weight of the drone, including the camera, is less than 4kg. Although not egg-shaped, the PowerEye’s fully foldable integrated design also makes it easy to transport and carry.
