The myriad forms of Shenfu Rock are captivating, but the cliffs and waterfalls of Xiliuhuang will leave you spellbound.

Xiliuhuang is located to the north of Huanggangping in Jingxin Village, Huodao Town. The Daduan River, originating from the foothills of Daduan Mountain in the Laoxiang Mountain Range near the border with Xinxing County, flows through Dongxin, Songkeng, and Shagang, where it merges with streams from Yao Village and Guantang. It continues along Dongwei, Jingxin, Gangping, and Shanghuan villages before emptying into the Xinxing River at Shuikou. When the Daduan River reaches Huanggangping, the sudden steep drop in terrain causes it to plunge down in two levels — one of 20 meters and another of 50 meters — forming a massive waterfall nearly 70 meters high and 30–40 meters wide. A thick mist rises into the air, creating a spectacular sight. During the rainy season, the rushing waters churn up clouds of spray, and the thunderous roar of the falls can be heard for miles, exuding an awe-inspiring grandeur. Over the years, the constant flow of water has polished the granite rocks in the rapids into varied sizes, shapes, and heights, all glistening white and smooth to the touch. The green mountains on either side of the waterfall are covered in dense mixed forests, where shrubs and trees, broadleaf and conifer species intermingle in rich diversity. Thus, the unique natural beauty of Xiliuhuang is defined by its wonder, peril, and scenic magnificence — whether you come to admire its falls, explore its dangers, enjoy its vistas, or seek knowledge, you’ll find endless fascination.

Although Xiliuhuang lies deep in the mountains, access is very convenient. A cement road leads directly to Huanggangping, and it’s just a hundred-meter walk to the top of the waterfall. Alternatively, you can park at the old residences in Shuikou and reach the bottom of the falls via Shanghuan. Whether traveling downstream or climbing upstream, you can fully take in the spectacular views of Xiliuhuang’s cascading waters.
