The Lianyun Mountain Canyon Rafting Scenic Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

The Lianyun Mountain Canyon Rafting Scenic Area is situated in Jiayi Town, Pingjiang County, Yueyang City, Hunan Province, deep within the majestic ranges of Lianyun Mountain, the highest peak in northeastern Hunan. Spanning around 40 square kilometers with a forest coverage of approximately 98% and an average annual temperature of 15°C, the area features rich natural landscapes such as unique rock formations, waterfalls and springs, Rhododendron fortunei blossoms, vast bamboo forests, and spectacular celestial views. The river course here is winding and turbulent, flanked by steep cliffs and deep canyons. The rafting section stretches about 5 kilometers with a drop of 200 meters, making it currently the canyon rafting route with the greatest elevation drop in Hunan Province. Completing the entire course takes approximately two hours.
