Tuolong Gorge is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

The Tuolong Gorge Eco-Tourism Scenic Area is established on the bases of the Xujia Cave Dam and Reservoir, Tuolong Gorge, and the main peak of Lianyun Mountain. With water recreation on Longhu Lake (the reservoir lake) and white-water adventure in Tuolong Gorge (Xujiaxi Canyon) as its core projects, it has been developed into an influential 3A-level comprehensive scenic area that offers activities such as rafting and exploration, bungee jumping and rock climbing, leisure vacations, large-scale entertainment, and outdoor sports.

Features of the Tuolong Gorge Eco-Tourism Scenic Area

The Tuolong Gorge Rafting is the highest-altitude two-person self-guided canyon rafting in China, spanning a total length of 5 kilometers with a total drop of 299 meters. The highest single drop reaches 19 meters, and the longest slide is 120 meters. Along the route, you’ll find majestic canyons, rugged rocks, lush vegetation, and even a 100-meter cliffside waterfall. It’s like drifting on water while traveling through a painting—offering both the thrill of an exhilarating rafting experience and the endless charm of natural ecology.

The Xujia Cave Reservoir and Dam are the most spectacular sights in the scenic area. Designed in the shape of a dragon raising its head and looking back, the dam serves as one of the area’s iconic landscapes and main visual elements. It is also a highly valuable and malleable site for development. The dam is 197 meters wide and 53 meters high, standing majestically and impressively along the Lianyun Mountain Range.

The scenic area also features a visitor service center, hot water facilities, the Tuolong Gorge Inn, and the Tuolong Gorge Restaurant. Its complete range of supporting facilities ensures visitors a unique and satisfying experience.

Ticket Information and Tips for the Tuolong Gorge Eco-Tourism Scenic Area

Ticket Prices: Scenic View Brave Rafting: 198 RMB/person; Outdoor Adventure: 88 RMB/person (Note: The rafting price is the same for adults and children. Visitors under 1.1 meters are not allowed to participate. Those under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.)
