Wuxi Bridge

Wuxi Bridge is a cultural heritage site protected by Pingjiang County.

Wuxi Bridge is located on the Wuxi River in the lower street of Wukou Town, Pingjiang County. It dates back to the Qing Dynasty and is categorized as an ancient architectural structure.

On November 20, 2013, Wuxi Bridge was designated as part of the fourth batch of county-level cultural heritage protection units in Pingjiang County.

Wukou Town: Wukou Town is situated in the western part of Pingjiang County, approximately 41 kilometers from the county seat. To the east, it borders Wengjiang Town; to the south, it meets the boundary with Changsha County; to the north, it adjoins Miluo City; and to the west, it neighbors Wushi Town. During the Qing Dynasty, the town area was under the jurisdiction of the 15th District of Fuhua Township. In the early years of the Republic of China, it was under the Xiehe District, and later under the 4th District's Nanyang Township. After the founding of the People’s Republic of China, it was initially under the 6th District, then under the Wengjiang Office. In 1958, it came under the Wengjiang People’s Commune, which was later restructured into a township. In 1984, Wukou Town was officially established. In 1995, it was formed through the consolidation of Xijiang Township from the former Tancen District, Wukou Town from Wengjiang District, and eight villages from Sanlian Township.
