The Yueyang Cultural Arts and Convention Center is a landmark cultural infrastructure in Yueyang City. It serves as a venue for high-end cultural arts, a space for artists to create and rehearse, and a preferred location for important conferences and large-scale exhibitions. It undertakes the social public welfare functions of introducing high-end art, facilitating cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries, hosting important meetings, and cultivating the cultural arts consumption market.

The Yueyang Cultural Arts and Convention Center is a multifunctional venue integrating performances, conferences, and exhibitions. It is located at the intersection of Yueyang Avenue and Tonghai Road, featuring convenient transportation and a well-developed surrounding environment. The center covers an area of 135 acres, with its main entrance facing Yueyang Avenue and leisure plazas to the north and east.

The main building of the center is 133 meters long from east to west, 93 meters deep from north to south, and 30 meters high, with a total floor area of 43,000 square meters. The first floor houses a grand theater with 1,176 soft-seated seats, a smaller theater with 439 soft-seated seats, as well as a VIP hall and video teleconferencing rooms. Both the grand and small theaters are equipped with advanced all-digital lighting and sound systems, and feature state-of-the-art lifting stages and orchestra pits, capable of hosting performances by various art troupes. The VIP hall is elegant and comfortable, with a strong artistic atmosphere, making it a premium venue for receiving domestic and international guests. The second floor includes video conferencing rooms and a press conference hall, which can accommodate over 200 people and serves as the designated venue for municipal government press conferences. The third floor of the center houses the Yueyang Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, the Yueyang Art Museum, and the Yueyang Mass Art Center. The Yueyang Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, managed and operated by the Yueyang Cultural Arts and Convention Center, is open to the public free of charge. Covering a floor area of 1,000 square meters, it is divided into 12 exhibition zones and uses high-tech methods such as audiovisual sand table models, electronic flip books, floor interaction, and an 180-degree curved screen cinema to vividly showcase Yueyang’s urban transformation and development trajectory over the past 500 years, especially the changes during the more than 30 years of reform and opening up, as well as the city’s development plans for the new era. The Yueyang Art Museum is a venue dedicated to the exhibition, sale, exchange, and creation of fine art works, providing a new platform for local artists.
