The Red Army Propaganda Slogans site is a classic destination for red tourism.

In August 1934, comrades such as Ren Bishi, Xiao Ke, and Wang Zhen led the Sixth Red Army Corps in withdrawing from the Hunan-Jiangxi Base Area and moving westward to clear the way for the Central Red Army. On the 20th (the 11th day of the seventh lunar month), over 9,700 members of the Sixth Red Army Corps entered Xintian, where they wrote a large number of propaganda slogans on the walls, stone tablets, and pillars of villages along the route, advocating for national salvation and resistance against Japan, and promoting revolutionary ideals. Examples include “Overthrow the landlords and distribute the land,” “Down with the local tyrants and evil gentry,” “Eliminate corrupt officials,” “Down with imperialism,” “Cancel rents and interest,” “Land to the tiller,” “March north to resist Japan,” “Long live the Red Army,” “Capture Tao Guang alive,” and “Borrow Hunan to pass through to Guangxi.” Among these, the original versions of the “Ten-Point Program of the Communist Party” and “The Red Army is the Armed Force of Workers and Peasants” are still preserved to this day.
