Fuyinshan Forest Park

Xintian County's Fuyinshan Forest Park is part of the Yangming Mountain Range. It was designated as a provincial-level forest park in 2009, with the park entrance located 5 kilometers northeast of the county town. The park features continuous mountain ranges and dense valleys, including over 50 unique peaks, 80 valleys, and thousands of streams. The highest elevation in the park is 800 meters, and its tallest peak, Shuangbaling, consists of two side-by-side mountains resembling sisters, each with its own charm. The park contains large areas of pristine forest. It is home to more than 10 first-class protected plants such as ginkgo and yew, as well as dozens of second-class protected animals including pangolins, wild boars, and river deer. The main peak of the park, Fuyinshan, is a renowned Buddhist mountain in southern Hunan. The ruins of Fuyin Temple still remain, and during its heyday, worshippers from southern Hunan and along the Xiao River flocked to the mountain to pray and pay homage.
