The Former Site of the Battle of Xiaoshui – the Western Expedition of the Sixth Red Army Corps is a cultural heritage protection unit of Hunan Province.

The Former Site of the Battle of Xiaoshui – the Western Expedition of the Sixth Red Army Corps is located in Xikou Town, Tongdao Dong Autonomous County, Huaihua City. It dates back to 1934.

In 2019, the Former Site of the Battle of Xiaoshui – the Western Expedition of the Sixth Red Army Corps was approved as part of the tenth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage protection units in Hunan Province.

Xikou Town: The former Shankamu Township and Xikou Town were merged to form the new Xikou Town.

Xikou Town of Tongdao Dong Autonomous County is located in the northern part of the county. It borders Shankamu Township to the east, Jiangkou Township to the west, Jingwuzhou Town and Linkou Town to the south, and adjoins Jingzhou County to the north. The area features overlapping peaks and crisscrossing streams. The highest point, Yangyangdong Mountain, stands at an elevation of 809.9 meters in the northern part. The Yangxu River and its tributaries flow through the town from north to south, while the Jingshan Highway traverses the region. Forest roads extend in all directions, with all villages connected by roadways.
