Among all the rides at Universal Studios Singapore, the “Transformers” ride is undoubtedly the most popular, often requiring a wait of 40 to 120 minutes just to board. As a result, many visitors’ first move upon arriving at the park is to rush straight to the Transformers queue.“Single Rider”line, however, may only require a few minutes of waiting before you can smoothly board the ride and join Bumblebee and Optimus Prime in their mission to protect peace.
The so-called “Single Rider” line is a dedicated express entrance designed for solo travelers. When there are scattered empty seats on a ride, these single travelers are invited to fill the gaps, maximizing ride capacity. For example, if a row of four seats has three family members seated, the ride operators will allow single riders from the designated line to board and fill the remaining spot.

Compared to regular queues, the Single Rider line is usually much shorter, making it easy to get on the ride. Based on our reporter’s test, the Transformers ride typically requires a 40-minute wait on a weekday afternoon—but if you use the Single Rider line, you’ll only need to wait about 2 minutes before boarding.
While the Single Rider line is extremely convenient for solo travelers, not all rides offer this option. At Universal Studios Singapore, popular attractions such as Transformers and Revenge of the Mummy do provide a Single Rider line. Similarly, at Universal Studios Japan, the Forbidden Journey ride in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter also offers a Single Rider service.
Therefore, solo travelers planning to visit Universal Studios should prioritize checking whether each attraction offers a “Single Rider” line—so you can quickly enjoy the fun of the rides without long waits.
