The Tomb of Li Yongfu and His Wife is a cultural relic protection unit of Hubei Province.

Tomb of Li Yongfu and His Wife

Located in Dongping Village, Xiematown, Baokang County, this is a Qing Dynasty burial site covering an area of approximately 230 square meters. In front of the tomb mound stands a two-story stone-carved memorial archway with double gates. The lower level contains a stone tablet inscribed with the birth and death dates of the couple, while the upper level features a tablet detailing the life of the deceased. In front of the archway is a stone offering table with gracefully curved legs, upon which a censer and candlesticks are embedded. The censer is inscribed with “Shengxiantang,” the character “Fu” (blessing), as well as scroll-pattern decorations. The tomb mound is surrounded by a protective enclosure consisting of a bell-shaped stone wall and a gate tower built from bluestone. The wall stands 2.3 to 3.4 meters high, and the gate tower features a flush-gable roof style, with two stone steps forming a worship platform in front of it. The above-ground structures of the tomb are uniquely shaped, exquisitely carved, simple yet elegant, and are rarely seen in northwestern Hubei, making them of significant cultural value.
