Three Gorges Mingcui Valley, located south of the Gezhouba Dam in Ziyang Village, Dianjun District, Yichang City, is a national AAA-level scenic area.

The name “Mingcui Valley” originates from the poetic scene of “wild birds singing in the verdant valley, and flowing streams chanting joyful melodies.” The valley boasts dense foliage, uniquely shaped rocks, colorful wildflowers, and birds singing in chorus. As you enter the valley, you’ll find clear streams and dripping green vines; strolling through it, you’ll hear birds chirping accompanied by the tinkling of springs and the rustling of leaves, as if a beautiful melody has drifted down from the heavens, instantly refreshing your spirit and making you feel as though you’ve entered a fairyland.

The valley’s ten scenic areas—including the Ziyang Dragon Cave, Tianguan Temple, mineral spring swimming pool, Golden Turtle Lake, Langshu tree grove, wild hawthorn forest, natural stone tunnel, Longevity Oxygen Bar Maze, Naked Stone Gully Naturist Corridor, and Visitor Activity Center—allow visitors to experience the wonders of natural ecology and leave them enchanted. It’s impossible not to be reminded of the ancient verse: “Rare birds sing in harmony with flutes and pipes, while waterfalls cascade from cliffs like music from stone zithers.”

The natural ecological “Eighteen Wonders” of Mingcui Valley are truly breathtaking.
