Changyang Tianzhu Mountain Tourist Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

The Hubei Zhongwudang · Tianzhu Mountain Scenic Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction. It is located 25 kilometers west of Changyang Tujia Autonomous County in Yichang, Hubei Province. Situated within the Qingjiang North Shore National Forest Park and National Geopark, it neighbors the national AAAAA-level Qingjiang Gallery Scenic Area and stands at an altitude of 1,445 meters. The scenery is stunning, combining beauty, wonder, danger, and majesty, and is recognized as one of Taoism’s Thirty-Six Grotto-Heavens and Seventy-Two Blessed Lands.

The scenic area features towering mountains with a majestic, cloud-piercing presence. From a distance, solitary peaks rise sharply from the earth; up close, three peaks vie for attention while two bridges span like rainbows. Attractions such as the Immortal-Gazing Terrace, Divine Frog Rock, Yin-Yang Well, and Sacred Spring showcase nature’s extraordinary craftsmanship. At the summit of Tianzhu Mountain, visitors stand above the clouds, overlooking a sea of mountains surrounded by rising mist, with valleys and peaks stretching as far as the eye can see. The ancient architectural complex is grand and imposing, with palaces standing atop cliffs, suspended cloud ladders, flying eaves, and classic Chinese architectural charm. Since its establishment as a Taoist site during the Tang Dynasty over 1,300 years ago, the Zhongwudang · Tianzhu Mountain Taoist temples have echoed with morning bells and evening drums, filled daily with incense and frequented by Taoist followers and tourists from all directions — a truly captivating destination. It shines in harmony with the Wudang Mountains of northern Hubei and is a renowned Taoist mountain in southwestern Hubei.
