Located on the northern bank of the Qingjiang River in Changyang County, Tianzhu Mountain is a famous Taoist mountain also known as Central Wudang. Taoist temples were first built here during the Tang Dynasty. In the Tongzhi period of the Qing Dynasty, thirty-six groups of buildings were constructed in the style of the royal temples of Wudang Mountain, including the Earth Mother Palace, Third Earth Palace, Spirit Official Hall, Jade Emperor Pavilion, Jade Void Palace, South Rock Palace, Imperial Scripture Hall, Thunder Ancestor Hall, Eggplant Blue Shrine, and Zhongshu Gate.
