Pangu Temple in Yiling is a cultural relic protection unit of Hubei Province.

Pangu Temple

Located in Gucunping Village, Taipingxi Town, Yiling District, Yichang City. The exact year of its construction is unknown, but it was renovated in the 28th year of the Qianlong reign (1763) and the 22nd year of the Daoguang reign (1842) during the Qing Dynasty. Facing south, the temple features a traditional quadrangle courtyard layout, measuring 10 meters in width and 15.8 meters in depth. It is built with a brick-and-timber post-and-lintel structure and topped with a flush-gable gray tile roof. This temple is the only known religious structure dedicated to "Pangu" discovered in Hubei Province to date, and holds significant importance for the study of prehistoric culture in the region.
