Sanbadao Scenic Area
Sanbadao is a mountain peak in the Xiling Gorge of the Yangtze River Three Gorges. It earned the name "Sanbadao" (Three Knives) from locals due to its resemblance to three upright, sharp blades piercing the sky. Adjacent to Sanbadao is Maogong Mountain, while across the river lies Tianzhu Mountain. It is located over 30 kilometers from Yichang and less than 10 kilometers from the Three Gorges Dam. Thanks to its rugged mountain trails, the majestic sight of cliffs suspended in air, and the panoramic views of the Xiling Gorge it offers, Sanbadao has become one of the four classic outdoor routes in Yichang and a sacred spot for outdoor enthusiasts in the area. Every holiday, it attracts a constant stream of hikers.
