Yelang Valley Scenic Area

The Yelang Valley Scenic Area stretches 8.6 kilometers in length and is located approximately 9.5 kilometers from downtown Yichang, about a 30-minute drive. It is a scenic spot characterized by its pristine and beautiful canyon landscapes, featuring deep streams and layered scenery, making it a “natural oxygen bar” for visitors to relax and vacation.

The Yelang Valley Scenic Area features unique attractions in the Three Gorges region such as ancient nanmu tree groves, wild macaques, the largest suburban moss waterfall, a natural wintersweet valley, and a natural swimming pool. It mainly consists of seven major scenic zones: Tongma Gully, Kunpeng Canyon, the Macaque Nature Reserve, Dafoshan Mountain, Hanmei Valley, Nanmu Rock, and Guanmu Rock.

Free entry. The scenic area itself is free, but rafting costs 158 RMB.
